Duench Contractors Inc. has been a member in good standing of Landscape Ontario for more than two decades. Members are environmental stewards. Plants form the green industry's foundation - they create oxygen and cool the earth - plants are unique in actually improving our environment. On top of the environmental benefits, investment in green enhances your property value and draws your family together - outdoors.  Our goal is your complete satisfaction. We strive to develop long-term relationships with each of our customers. Many of our projects are completed in phases over two or three seasons, requiring trust and caring. From modest to extravagant, we can create a sanctuary for you to enjoy for years to come. We are a full-service contractor who will take your project from vision to completion.

​In 2005, John successfully wrote the Certified Landscape Designer exams necessary to obtaining Certified Landscape Designer status. Over the years, he has designed and constructed millions of dollars worth of work. John is personally involved with each of his projects. Not only is he the first person you meet with, he will be on the job site day in and day out, and he will be the last person to leave your site.

John and Zak work closely with clients to translate their home project dreams into reality. We start by meeting with you on your property to assess the issues and opportunities and then takes a detailed inventory and measurements of all elements involved in the project . We will listen first and then come up with a plan, possibly with the assistance of a local  designer, which can be phased in over a few years or implemented immediately, as time and budgets allow.

OUR HISTORY

Established in 1975 by Jim Duench, Duench Contractors Inc. has a tradition of excellence in custom wood and landscaping projects. Since 1988, John Duench has been providing unique vision, passion and commitment to residential landscapes. Zak Duench who graduated from the University of Waterloo, joined in 2016 is the third generation to continue to create unique and quality work. Their commitment to excellence and strong work ethic, whatever the project, are the foundation of Duench Contractors' success.
